At the beginning of His earthly ministry Jesus shared His mission: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…” (Luke 4:18)

    That is our mission here at Bright Star Baptist Church. We want our church to be a lighthouse for hurting people… A place where sinners can find the help they need through the love of Jesus Christ.

    Our motto is found in Colossians 1:18, “…that in all things He might have the preeminence.” Our goal is to love people as Jesus loved, but most of all, we seek to give Jesus glory and preeminence in everything we do.
